The Star cocktail was an old school recipe that was featured in David Wondrichs book “Imbibe”. I decided to give this cocktail a whirl so this is the results. It allowed me to feature another old school ingredient I never have yet, Apple Brandy.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz Apple Brandy I used Lairds Bottled in Bond
- 1 1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth Italian is suggested
- 1/4 oz Simple Syrup
- 3 Dashes Angostura Bitters

Instructions
- Add all of these ingredients into a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir well and strain into a chilled glass.
- Garnish with a lemon peel.
