This is commonly considered the original cocktail. A mix of spirit, sugar, and bitters. Very simplistic, but with a good product you can really make this into an amazing drink. If you have a high quality Whiskey, this is your chance to use it.

- 1 cube Sugar You can use 1/2 tsp of granulated sugar also.
- 1 splash Water
- 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
- 2 oz Bourbon A Rye works well here also.

Instructions
- Put the sugar cube, a splash of water, and 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters into a mixing glass.
- Muddle the sugar cube.
- Add the Bourbon with some ice.
- Stir until chilled and sugar fully dissolved.
- Strain into a rocks glass with one large ice cube.
- Garnish with an orange peel.
