It is Fall time in 2019 so it’s time for me to break out some great Fall Cocktails. I love this stuff and I think you will to. We do a lot with various sweeteners including Simple Syrup, Brown Sugar, and Orgeat Syrup; however we rarely cover Maple Syrup. Let’s change that, Maple syrup can be a great ingredient in cocktails and this one takes advantage.
Notes on Ingredients: I am choosing to use a nice bottle of Elijah Craig to use for this one. Any good bourbon will do, despite this being a little sweet the subtle flavors of the bourbon still shine through.
I also used Lairds Bottled in Bond as this is a really nice bottle for a reasonable price. Excellent stuff.
Maple Syrup is best locally if possible, also a nice Grade B is good in a cocktail as well.
Maple Bourbon Twist
- 1 1/2 oz Bourbon
- 3/4 oz Maple Syrup
- 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
- 1/2 oz Apple Brandy
- Add all ingredients into a shaker tin.
- Shake well with ice
- Strain into a chilled glass.
- Garnish with a lemon twist.
