So one day there was a guy in a bar carrying a Margarita and he stumbles into a dude with a Corona. The first guy says ‘Hey, you got Corona in my Margarita!’ and the second guy returned with ‘Oh yeah? Well you got Margarita in my Corona!’ Thus, the Coronarita was born…ok so maybe it wasn’t quite like that. Either way the Coronarita is an awesome drink and I just had to post a recipe for it on here.

Combining the sour and sweet flavors of a Margarita with the smooth flavor of a Corona, this drink combines so well and if you’re into Tequila I highly suggest giving it a try.

Here’s what you’ll need to make it happen:

  • 1 1/2 oz Tequila
  • 1/2 oz Triple Sec
  • 1 oz Lime Juice
  • 2 oz Sour Mix
  • 1 Bottle of Coronita (7 Ounce)

Once you have all of that you’ll have to get a Cocktail glass and a shaker to put this together.

  1. Pour Lime Juice, Sour Mix, Tequila, and Triple Sec into a shaker half full of ice.
  2. Shake and strain into cocktail glass. Leave some room at the top for the Corona.
  3. Turn the bottle of Corona upside down inside the glass. The air won’t be able to escape the bottle, preventing the drink from pouring all over the table.
  4. Garnish with a lime wedge and you’re good to go.

It is worth noting that I omitted the salted rim you see with most margaritas. Feel free to add it in, but since my drink used a straw I chose not to salt the rim.

If you’re looking for some Corona clips for your drinks you can find them here:
