This is the Hot Toddy recipe that was featured in the Jerry Thomas book. This drink is one of the first published versions of the Hot Toddy there ever was.
- 2 oz Scotch Whisky (I used Monkey Shoulder)
- 4 oz Hot Water
- 1 tsp White Sugar
- Add sugar and hot water to glass.
- Stir to dissolve sugar fully.
- Add Whiskey
- Garnish with Fresh Ground Cinnamon or Cinnamon Stick
