The Caribbean Night cocktail is a fantastic way to use Jagermeister and Captain Morgan together. This drink is fantastic for someone who really love Jager and even decent if you are on the fence. However if Jagermeister makes you queezy than perhaps it’s time to hit the homepage and look into something else.
Jagermeister has a nice herbal and slightly bitter quality to it. Most people compare it to black licorice, but I think that’s more of a Sambuca flavor to me. Jager does have the same qualities, but there is a little more of an herbal edge to it that can be pretty good when mixed with the right ingredients.
Captain Morgan on the otherhand, is a very pleasing drink on its own (I prefer Private Stock) however it does not mix well with others all of the time. I like Private Stock due to the more mellow flavor and it tastes a little more matured than it’s more common counterpart. The variety of spices and flavors that are included in this Jamaican Rum include Star Anise, Cinnamon, Vanilla, and more.
Keeping with the tropical theme of Rum, this drink will utilize Pineapple Juice and fresh fruit. We all know Rum mixes great with Pineapple Juice, but how will the German Liqueur mix with this combo? Let’s find out!
