Candy Corn is a treat for Halloween that is always readily available. This is great because Vodka is something in my house that is also always readily available. So why not mix the two and have a freaking party right? I think so.

So this recipe really only needs a total of two ingredients to make it. Here’s all you need for a small batch.

  • 1 1/2 Cup Vodka
  • 1/2 Cup of Candy Corn

So this is my first infusion guys, hopefully it turns out awesome. If not I just wasted a ton of Vodka and that’s not cool in this household. So let’s get to making this Vodka infusion:

  1. Combine Vodka and Candy Corn in a glass jar with sealing lid.
  2. Seal it and give it a quick shake.
  3. Leave in the container for 3 days, be sure to shake it once daily for better results.
  4. After 3 days strain the liquor through a cheesecloth or coffee filter.

Warning: A coffee filter method works really well, but it took mine about 2 hours to fully strain through. It wouldn’t hurt to use cheesecloth first and than move on to a coffee filter to get the really fine particles out of it.

The better you strain your vodka the longer it will last. What makes infusions go bad is residual particles left over that can go bad and spoil the taste of the liquor. This is more important for fruit infusions, but it applies here as well.
